My name is Tatiana Divilek and I am a Junior at Riverdale Country School. I enjoy working with children and have experience planning and doing activities with children from the Riverdale Neighborhood House with the Riverdale Community Partners. All throughout high school I have been in honors math classes and am continuing that into Junior Year. I want to be a tutor because I really enjoy working with children and math class has always been one of my favorite classes where I feel most comfortable. I want my students to be able to feel the same excitement for math that I hold. I have experience helping my little sister who is in elementary school with her math skills so I believe that tutoring comes naturally to me. I will prepare for sessions by creating lesson plans catered specifically towards my students' needs and creating presentations with practice problems. I will also utilize worksheets during my in-person sessions. I will make sure to utilize tutoring sessions by giving my student a break appropriate for the time frame of the session to make sure that they can maintain focus.
