I am Steven Yang, a junior at Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut. I was originally from Beijing and moved to the U.S with my family after elementary school. Although I understand homework can certainly be challenging for many students, I think it is certainly helpful to students. From my personal experience, I spend extra effort on homework because I know it is going to help my grade in assessments. I will try to teach the notion to my students, as they will benefit from homework help in the long term. I will not be just an "answer key" to my students, because that does not help them if they encounter similar problems in the future. Instead, I will use my strong understanding of every subject to explain the logic behind it. For younger students, I would be friendly and interactive, ask a lot of questions, and encourage them to reach the correct answer.
