Hello! I'm Lowell Cerbone, a freshman at Columbia. I have experience in looking after kids at summer camp, at parents' dinner parties, and with my younger cousins over the holidays. Most notably, I've been a teen counselor at 4-H summer camp for the past few years. The week-long sleep-away camp serves approximately 100 kids aged 9-12. At camp, I'm responsible for supervising a group of 10 kids as they go to different workshops and activities throughout the week, leading camp-wide recreational activities with the other teen counselors, and assisting adult counselors with bedtime. I also volunteer for "Cloverbud Day" which is a day camp for young 4-Hers aged 5-8. Besides camp counseling, I'm usually designated to look after younger children of my parents' friends at dinner parties. And when visiting family for Passover, I'm usually asked to look after my younger cousins while the adults prepare dinner or take some time for themselves. I will use the skills learned as a camp counselor and informal babysitter to be a responsible and attentive babysitter. I enjoy reading, playing, and looking after kids, and don't mind cooking and cleaning. I will pay attention to your child's needs whether that be a snack, a nap, a bedtime story, or a game to play.
