Hi! My name is Freddie and I am a 10th grader at Horace Mann. I absolutely love working with kids and I have a lot of experience with kids who are facing challenges in school, as well as kids with learning disabilities. I find it important to make learning fun and make sure to incorporate lots of fun activities and learning techniques in tutoring sessions. In elementary school, writing was one of my favorite subjects and I would love to enhance a child’s experience with writing and make it more positive for them. I use fun worksheets to improve the skills that they are learning in class, and in between sessions I assign writing on topics of interest to the child, or ask them to write about the highlight of their week to improve writing skills, while also keeping the work fun and geared towards something they are passionate about. My goal as a tutor is for the child to be confident in the material that they are learning, and also having fun while doing it.
