Hi! My name is Freddie and I am a 10th grader at Horace Mann. I really enjoy tutoring kids in math because it was always my #1 favorite subject throughout elementary school. I also adore working with kids and I work weekly with special needs children, which has taught me all about finding which different methods work for different types of kids. This background helps me to be well-equipped to aiding kids who may be struggling with schoolwork. I find it important to make learning fun and make sure to incorporate lots of fun activities and learning techniques in tutoring sessions. For a tutoring session I will print out different worksheets according to what the student is currently learning in math, and in the time in between sessions, I will provide fun activities for them to practice with. I would love to give a child a positive experience with math that makes them genuinely excited to learn. Overall my goal as a tutor is for the child to be confident in the material that they are learning, and also having fun while doing it.
