Hello! My name is Farhan Rafat, and I am currently a senior at Horace Mann School. Math has been my favorite subject my entire life; it is a love that I hope to share with my students. I have been tutoring for more than 3 years and have worked with programs such as Summer on the Hill and at tutoring centers. I myself have had a variety of amazing mentors and tutors throughout my life. I know what it is like to tutor, and what it is like to be tutored, and I plan to use my experience to create the best environment for student growth. I will start by diagnosing students' proficiency levels and work together on individualized lesson plans that work to strengthen where the student is weakest and polish their strengths. I will curate classwork for students based on individual goals. They will be sourced from workbooks or be hand-made by me, in order to target each student's specific needs. I plan to incorporate meetings with parents to keep parents up to date and address additional concerns. I look forward to working with students and taking them to the next level.
