Ethan Lader | Middle School Math Tutor

My name is Ethan Lader, and I am a Junior (class of 2024) at the High School of American Studies at Lehman College. At school, I am an honors math student who loves participating in extracurricular activities and clubs. I am an active member of my school’s varsity baseball team, as well as a volunteer peer tutor (club) for fellow students in my school who could benefit from a helping hand. As a former middle school math student myself, I fully understand how it can be a challenge at times. As a tutor, I believe that I can help boost student’s understanding of middle school math, so that they can reach their full academic potential. Before our first session, I hope to familiarize myself with the parents, as well as the student, so that I can tailor our sessions to best fit the specific and unique needs of the student. After the initial sessions, I intend to continue communicating with the parents and/or students, so that I can be adequately prepared to best help when our sessions happen. Given the time constraints of a session, it is my goal to make sure that it is best utilized, in an efficient way that will lead to the best results. I strive to get to know my students so that I can make learning a fun and comfortable environment, as I believe that is the key to success. All in all, it is most important to me that I help my students achieve success to the fullest extent possible.
