Hi, my name is Eliana Levey. I am 15 years old and currently a freshman at The Spence School. Over the summer, I worked as a camp counselor with children ages 1-12 at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack. In addition to this experience, I have had the opportunity to become an assistant teacher for 3 hours a week and help work with students independently and as a group. I really enjoy working with elementary school kids and I would hope to tutor your kids as well! While tutoring Elementary Math, I like to focus on how your child learns and find the strategies that work best. Depending on what your child needs to work on, we would take the time to develop tactics that allow him/her to understand and learn the material in the most effective way. To prepare for sessions, I would use programs such as Khan Academy and IXL to make sure I am teaching your child in the most effective way possible. My own school experiences have taught me the importance of time management, organization and independence, and I would love to help your child with those as well as the previously mentioned skills.
