Hi! My name is Batool Naqvi and I am a current first-year student in the Masters of Science in Bioethics at Columbia University. I recently graduated from Quinnipiac University Magna Cum Laude from the University Honors Program with a degree in Health Science with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Sociology. I am currently in the process of applying to medical school and am therefore well-versed in higher-level mathematics. I have taken and performed well in English and similar humanities courses throughout my undergraduate career, and my experience in my Bioethics program has me well-versed in reading and comprehending philosophical pieces and common works. I plan to use word activities, phonics, and the student’s own interests in certain genres to get them excited about reading and learning! I want to incorporate books within their curriculum along with books they are interested in reading in order to point them in the right direction.I have had tons of experience in tutoring, and I believe my style of tutoring is patient, empathetic, and resilient. I plan to create tutoring plans from scratch designed individually for each child taking into consideration their learning style, specific needs, and interests.
