Hi there! My name is Ashar Khan, and I am a Columbia University freshman majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior while on the PreMed track. I have a few years of tutoring experience under my belt from high school. I have spent many hours helping friends and family with homework, an experience that helps myself and the student I am helping. In elementary math, I explain topics from basic addition and subtraction to order of operations in a way that is interactive and fun. My sessions consist of a mix of instruction from myself along with interactive, conversational homework aid with the student. I have also been tutored for many years, so I know the characteristics and qualities of a good tutor because I have been fortunate to learn from some great tutors.
